Crest Robotics and Coding Academy will be providing robotics and coding classes for Spring 2026 using Lego kits, VEX kits and Scratch (a block based coding platform built by MIT). Classes will be held on Tuesdays after school from 3:30PM to 4:30PM. Classes start on Apr 7 and run through May 12.

For robotics, we focus on individual class projects where we create a small team of 2-3 children that complete a project including building and coding in each class. For coding in Scratch, each child will be working individually. We use Google Photos to share pictures and videos of children working on projects, with their parents, and also offer parents a chance for parent teacher conferences to discuss their learning and growth. Our goal is to teach children problem solving skills and logical thinking. We also teach children how to model good and positive behaviors, learn how to work in teams and build their self-confidence and esteem by encouraging them to talk about their creations at the end of each project.
