Children are naturally fascinated with technology. Our classes turn that curiosity into opportunities to build robots, code games, and explore artificial intelligence through hands-on projects.

Our curriculum teaches science, engineering, and coding fundamentals throughout the school year, helping children develop perseverance and stay committed to a goal. By collaborating with classmates from diverse backgrounds, students build teamwork skills that prepare them for future success.

Students create games and animations with MIT Scratch and explore practical AI tools through hands-on projects.

Robotics using LEGO® Wedo

We use an award winning solution by Lego® that is based upon the latest science standards and was created to enhance students’ curiosity and science skills. This Lego® set has multiple programmable components including a Smarthub, a Medium Motor, Motion Sensor and a Tilt Sensor providing your little learner ample opportunity to explore the world of Robotics.

We use our proprietary curriculum to provide a unique experience in our classes teaching life, physical, earth, and space sciences, as well as engineering.

LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential Set

LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential STEAM curriculum units for elementary are designed around playful narrative-based problem-solving with relatable themes that can develop young students into independent STEAM thinkers.

Crest used Spike Essential and our proprietary curriculum which has three levels of projects for each class. The projects are created with a team so we can teach science, engineering and coding concepts to all grades in elementary school!

Robotics using VEX

VEX Robotics provides educational robotics providing solutions that span all levels of formal and informal education with accessible, scalable, and affordable solutions. Beyond science and engineering principles, VEX encourages creativity, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving among groups. It allows us to engage and inspire the STEM problem solvers of tomorrow!

VEX use smart components (brain which connects via bluetooth to computers, motors, LED bumpers, crash detectors, optical sensors) and uses SCRATCH as a platform, and other programming languages to code robots to demonstrate real life application of robotics, science and engineering concepts!

Coding using SCRATCH by MIT

Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations. Scratch is designed, developed, and moderated by the Scratch Foundation, a nonprofit organization.

We use Scratch to teach computational thinking and problem solving skills, creative learning, self-expression and collaboration.

Beyond the Prompt: Putting AI to Work

Think; Build; Amaze

Think critically. Create confidently.

Turn curiosity into real-world skills in this hands-on artificial intelligence course. Students learn to use AI as a research partner, study coach, coder, and creative collaborator—building websites, creating original visuals, exploring data, and turning big ideas into practical plans. Along the way, they learn to ask better questions, check AI’s answers, and use these tools ethically and responsibly.

Our proprietary projects, created by the Crest curriculum team, help us accomplish the following objectives:

  • These projects are tailored to our K-8 classes to keep the level appropriate to the children.
  • We infuse excitement by bringing in projects appropriate to the time of the year. For example, children build the spooky pumpkin in fall, and the ghost-rider around Halloween!
  • We teach science, engineering and coding concepts that build on what we have already taught students.
