Crest Robotics and Coding Academy will be providing coding classes for 2025-26 and teaching Python to grades 7 and 8. This is a beginner level course and no prior experience is required. An aptitude for mathematics, logical thinking and problem solving would help your child learn the basics of coding and one of the most powerful programing languages in the world. Classes will be held on Wednesdays after school from 2:45PM to 3:45PM. Classes start on Jan 7 and run through May 20. No class on Mar 25. In addition, May 6 will be used as a make up day for inclement weather and/or other emergencies.

Attendance in each class will be important as we will be building skills in a laddered structure. We plan to teach many coding concepts including varianbles, branching logic, arrays and will also program some games such as rock, paper, scissors! After each class, we will send email summaries of the learnings to keep parents informed.
