Lukas Robotics and Coding Club for Grades K through 5: Wednesdays_Fall 2:35-3:35PM

Crest Robotics and Coding Academy will be providing robotics and coding classes for 2024-25 using Lego kits, VEX kits and Scratch (a block based coding platform built by MIT). Classes will be held on Wednesdays after school from 2:35PM to 3:35PM. Classes start on Oct 23 and run through May 14. No class on Nov 27, Dec 25, Jan 1, and Mar 19. In addition, Feb 26 and Apr 23 will be used as make up days for inclement weather and/or other emergencies.

For robotics, we focus on individual class projects where we create a small team of 2-3 children that complete a project including building and coding in each class. For coding in Scratch, each child will be working individually. We use Seesaw to share pictures and videos of children working on projects, with their parents, and also offer parents a chance for parent teacher conferences to discuss their learning and growth. Our goal is to teach children problem solving skills and logical thinking. We also teach children how to model good and positive behaviors, learn how to work in teams and build their self-confidence and esteem by encouraging them to talk about their creations at the end of each project.

Please note the payment plan for this class. Registration fees are non-refundable. For sessions that have a monthly payment plan, we require at least a 30 day notice with an email to info@crestcomputing.com to cancel (payments within that 30 day period will still be due); for sessions that have a quarterly payment plan, fees paid for the quarter are non-refundable and we require at least a 30 day notice with an email to info@crestcomputing.com to cancel; for sessions that are priced for the entire session, tuitions are non-refundable.

$75 to register, and $125 on the 22nd of each month from Oct 22nd; Tuitions may be FSA eligible
