Crest Robotics and Coding Academy will be providing robotics and coding classes for 2024-25 using Lego kits, VEX kits and Scratch (a block based coding platform built by MIT). Classes will be held on Tuesdays after school from 3:30PM to 4:30PM. Classes start on Sep 3 and run through May 20. No class on Oct 15, Nov 26, Dec 24, Dec 31, and Mar 18. In addition, Apr 22 and May 13 will be used as a make up days for inclement weather and/or other emergencies.

For robotics, we focus on individual class projects where we create a small team of 2-3 children that complete a project including building and coding in each class. For coding in Scratch, each child will be working individually. We use Seesaw to share pictures and videos of children working on projects, with their parents, and also offer parents a chance for parent teacher conferences to discuss their learning and growth. Our goal is to teach children problem solving skills and logical thinking. We also teach children how to model good and positive behaviors, learn how to work in teams and build their self-confidence and esteem by encouraging them to talk about their creations at the end of each project.

We require a 30 day notice of cancellation with email notice to info@crestcomputing.com. Payments within the 30 day period will still be due.
