Crest Robotics and Coding Academy will be providing brand new coding classes for Spring 2026 with proprietary in-house curriculum using Scratch (a block based coding platform built by MIT). Classes will be held at Werner on Thursdays after school from 3:45PM to 4:45PM starting on Mar 26 and running through May 21.

For each class, we will split children in groups of up to two and code projects in Scratch. Through these projects, they will learn mathematics, logic, animation, storytelling, branching, logic, and will even get to code and create their own video games! We use Google Photos to share pictures and videos of children working on projects with parents. Our goal is to teach children problem solving skills and logical thinking. We also teach children how to model good and positive behaviors, learn how to work in teams and build their self-confidence and esteem by encouraging them to talk about their creations at the end of each project.
